Record Keeping

Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates keeps confidential records and statistics about clients who use our services. All records are kept securely and are only seen by Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates personnel. These records are subject to GDPR (2018). Some of the information we may collect is classified as ‘personal data’, and we can only use such data where we have your explicit consent. Your personal and sensitive data will only be used in order to provide the service to you and for managing and quality assuring the service. Records are kept for a period of 7 years and are then destroyed.

Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates recognises that clients who use our service may wish to exercise their rights under GDPR to ask about, review, obtain and erase the information held about them. The details of these rights are outlined in the ‘terms and conditions’ which will be shared when we commence working together.

Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates is an independent and confidential psychology service. We hold information about clients we work with and the work we do together in confidence. This means that we will not normally share your name or any information about you with anyone outside of Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates. However, there are exceptional cases where Dr Rebekah Proctor Associates might ethically or legally have to give information to relevant authorities, for example, if we had reason to believe that someone is at serious risk or harm or to prevent a miscarriage of justice.

We will discuss any proposed disclosure with you unless we believe that to do so could increase the level of risk to you or to someone else.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
