Biography

Dr Schroeder is a Consultant Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working within the field of mental health. Dr Schroeder currently works in the NHS as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist leading a busy older peoples’ secondary care psychological therapy service, and since 2009 has also worked in private practice.

Dr Schroeder specialises in psychological assessment and the treatment of adults and older adults with a wide range of difficulties, including low mood and depression, anxiety, trauma-related difficulties including PTSD, intrusive thoughts and anxiety, bereavement, grief, and loss.

Dr Schroeder prides herself on being a warm and engaged clinician and is trained in a range of evidence-based psychological interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Dr Schroeder is an accredited EMDR therapist working towards gaining her EMDR Consultant grade.

Dr Schroeder is fully registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) the national regulator of health and care professions in the UK. Registration number: PYL19954

She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, holding a current British Psychological Society (BPS) practising certificate and a full member of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society.
