Biography

Dr Brown completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL), and has experience in both clinical research as well as clinical practice. Dr Brown previously worked in the NHS for several years (in both primary care and specialist services), providing psychological interventions and therapeutic support to individuals struggling with moderate levels of distress to more chronic and debilitating psychological disorders.

Specifically, Dr Brown has gained experience in treating both adult and adolescent clients suffering from the following clinical presentations:

  • Depressive disorder
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Generalised anxiety disorder
  • Health anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Panic disorder
  • Social anxiety
  • Relational/interpersonal difficulties
  • Childhood trauma
  • Low self-esteem.

Dr Brown works integratively by incorporating cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches into her practice. She provides long-term, short-term, and time-limited interventions, depending on a client’s clinical needs.
